🌏🇬🇧 World Championships 🇬🇧🌏

What an incredible event!

Our gymnasts Lydia & Jess recently traveled to Guimarães, Portugal, to represent Great Britain at the World Age Group Competitions, and they delivered an outstanding performance!

On Friday 13th, the girls competed their first routine [Balance]. Despite some nerves in their first world level competition (or maybe it was Friday the 13th 🧐🤣), they performed a beautiful routine with just a couple of minor wobbles, earning a score of 26.130.

The following day, Lydia & Jess returned stronger than ever, smashing their dynamic routine and receiving a fantastic score of 27.560.

With a combined score of 53.690 from both routines, the girls qualified for the finals in 5th place.

On Sunday, 15th, they took the floor for their Combined routine, delivering an incredible performance and scoring 27.920, securing SILVER 🥈 medals in the World Age Group Competition! The USA claimed gold 🥇 and Portugal took bronze 🥉.

Their total All-Around score of 81.610 also qualified Lydia & Jess for the Junior World Championships in 4th place.

Later that evening, despite some fatigue from the intense competition, the girls were eager to compete once more in the Junior World Championships. They performed their Combined routine brilliantly yet again, earning a score of 27.770 and taking home BRONZE 🥉 medals, with Portugal claiming silver 🥈 and Israel crowned Junior World Champions 🥇.

A massive CONGRATULATIONS to Lydia & Jess for their incredible achievement and representation of Great Britain on the world stage! 🌏🇬🇧 Your dedication, hard work, and perseverance have truly paid off - what a remarkable accomplishment!
