Over the last two weekends our competition squad were representing Evoke Gymnastics at the annual Bristol International Acro Cup (BIAC) and at King Edmund's Grades. Over a thousand gymnasts travelled to the Yate International Gymnastics Centre where both the BIAC and King Edmunds Grades took place.
At the BIAC there was tough international competition with countries such as USA, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, Austria and Estonia, not to mention some of the top teams in Great Britain.
Our 11-16 Woman’s Pair; Lydia Mulvey & Natalia Gilbert and 11-16 Woman’s Group; Lily Young, Phoebe Young & Brooke Blackwell competed very well, particularly considering it was their first experience at this high level. Both partnerships held their nerve and placed a commendable 7th missing out on finals by only one place.
Grade 4 Mixed Pair Kailen Hardy Heavens & Tilly-Rose Sawyer were first up for Evoke at Grades with a precise and clean routine claiming the gold.
Grade 4 Woman’s Pair Eve Connor & Ceici-Rose Fisher also placed 1st with their beautifully synchronised routine.
Grade 2 Woman’s Pair Summer-Grace Buckland Walsh & Jessica Flay came away with the highest score out of all our partnerships 26.800 placing a respectful 4th place.
Grade 2 Woman’s Pair Alice MacLurkin & Isla Hewlett also competed extremely well with a clean routine and placed 5th.
